About Drunkio
Drunkio is a personal alcohol-free day tracking app for iOS. It helps you:
- Track your alcohol-free days and streaks
- Log daily check-ins with mood and craving levels
- See insights and calendar history
- Set reminders to stay on track
- Estimate money saved based on your weekly spending
- Use optional Face ID or Touch ID app lock to protect your data
Your tracking data is stored on your device only. Drunkio does not require an account.
Getting Started
1. Open Drunkio and complete onboarding.
2. Choose your starting point (for example, starting today or already alcohol-free).
3. Set your sober start date and optional weekly spending estimate.
4. Start checking in each day from the Home or Check-In tab.
Your streak and progress appear on the Home screen. You can adjust your start date and spending anytime in Settings.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I mark a day as alcohol-free?
Open the Check-In tab or use the mark-day option on Home. Select the day and confirm your status. You can also add mood, craving level, and a note.
What happens if I have a lapse?
You can mark a day as a lapse. Drunkio records it honestly without deleting your history. Your journey continues, and you can keep tracking from there.
How is money saved calculated?
Drunkio estimates daily savings from your weekly spending setting in Settings. It divides your weekly amount by seven and multiplies by your alcohol-free days. This is an estimate for motivation, not a financial record.
How do I change my sober start date?
Go to Settings → Start → Sober start date and pick a new date.
How do I turn on daily reminders?
Go to Settings → Reminders and enable Daily check-in reminder. Choose your preferred time. iOS will ask for notification permission the first time you turn this on.
How do I enable app lock?
Go to Settings → Privacy and turn on Face ID App Lock or Touch ID App Lock, depending on your device. Biometric data stays on your device and is handled by iOS.
How do I reset all my data?
Go to Settings and tap Reset all data. This permanently deletes your profile, check-ins, reasons, milestones, and calendar history. Consider exporting a copy first if you have Premium.
Premium and Subscriptions
Drunkio Premium unlocks features such as:
- Journal and full history
- Why I Quit (personal reasons and photos)
- Custom milestones
- Multiple daily reminders
- Pastel themes
- CSV and PDF export
How do I subscribe?
Tap Unlock Premium in Settings or when a locked feature is shown. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID via the App Store.
How do I restore my purchase?
Open the paywall screen and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple:
1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
2. Tap your name at the top.
3. Tap Subscriptions.
4. Select Drunkio and choose Cancel Subscription.
Canceling stops future charges. You keep Premium access until the end of the current billing period.
Widget
Drunkio includes a home screen widget that shows your current streak, sober start date, and estimated savings. Add it from your home screen: long-press the screen, tap the plus button, search for Drunkio, and choose a widget size.
Export (Premium)
Premium users can export data from Settings → Export:
- Export history as CSV
- Export progress report as PDF
Exports are created on your device. You choose where to share or save them.
Privacy
Drunkio stores your personal tracking data on your device only. We do not sell your data or use advertising trackers.
For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
Medical Disclaimer
Drunkio is a personal tracking tool, not a medical device or healthcare service. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you have health concerns related to alcohol use, please speak with a qualified healthcare professional.
Troubleshooting
Reminders are not working
1. Check that notifications are enabled for Drunkio in iOS Settings → Notifications.
2. Make sure Daily check-in reminder is turned on in Drunkio Settings.
3. Confirm Do Not Disturb or Focus modes are not blocking alerts.
Premium is not active after purchase
1. Tap Restore Purchases on the paywall screen.
2. Confirm you are signed in with the correct Apple ID.
3. Wait a few minutes and restart the app.
4. If the issue continues, contact us with your purchase receipt.
App lock is not available
App lock requires a device with Face ID, Touch ID, or a device passcode. If biometrics are disabled at the system level, enable them in iOS Settings first.
Data disappeared after reinstalling
Drunkio does not sync data to the cloud. If you delete the app or reinstall without exporting first, local data cannot be recovered.

Safety first
Drunkio estimates BAC with the Widmark formula. It is not a breathalyzer and must not be used to decide if you are safe to drive. Never drink and drive. If you need medical or crisis help, contact local emergency services — this inbox is only for app support.
Frequently asked questions
- What is Drunkio?
-
An iPhone alcohol drink tracker. You log drinks (one tap or custom), see a live BAC estimate, a countdown toward estimated 0.00, and tonight’s spend and calories.
- Is it free?
-
Core logging and BAC estimates are available without paying. The free plan shows about the last 7 days of history and calendar. Drunkio Pro unlocks 30- and 90-day ranges, custom dates, trend charts, a full sober calendar, sober streak, and optional location and mood on each drink.
- How do I log a drink?
-
On the dashboard, tap a Quick Log shortcut, or add a custom drink with volume, ABV, price, and time. You can edit shortcuts in Settings → Quick Log Shortcuts.
- Why does BAC need my weight and gender?
-
The Widmark estimate uses those values. Update them in Settings if they change. Wrong profile data makes the estimate worse.
- Can I use this to see if I can drive?
-
No. Treat every number as an approximation. If there is any doubt, do not drive.
- I bought Pro but features are still locked.
-
Open Settings in Drunkio and use the subscription / paywall screen to Restore Purchases (or reopen the paywall and restore). Confirm you are signed into the same Apple ID that bought Pro. Wait a minute on a network connection, then force-quit and reopen the app. If it still fails, email us with your Apple ID email is not required — describe the product (monthly or annual) and the approximate purchase date.
- How do I cancel a subscription?
-
iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Drunkio. Deleting the app does not cancel billing.
- Where is my data stored?
-
Drink logs and profile stay on your device. We do not run an account system. See the Privacy Policy for RevenueCat (subscriptions) and exchange-rate requests.
- How do I delete my drink history?
-
Settings → Reset All Data. That permanently deletes drink logs. Profile and preferences stay until you change them or delete the app.
- Location and mood are locked.
-
Those notes are Drunkio Pro. They are text you type (for example “bar”), not GPS.
- Spending looks wrong after I change currency.
-
The app converts using public exchange rates. Check Settings → Currency and that prices on older logs used the currency you intended. Rates need a network connection to refresh.
- Calories seem off.
-
The default is an alcohol-only estimate from volume and ABV. Mixers and sugar are not included unless you override calories on the drink.
- The app crashed or the dashboard did not update.
-
Force-quit Drunkio, reopen it, then restart the iPhone if needed. Update to the latest App Store version. If it continues, email us with the steps to reproduce.
